A mourning ceremony on the anniversary of the demise of the holy prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), was held on January 30 at Zeynabiyyeh Mosque in Istanbul

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A mourning ceremony on the anniversary of the demise of the holy prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), was held on January 30 at Zeynabiyyeh Mosque in Istanbul.

The program was held after the mid-day prayers with the presence of a large number of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) devotees.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sheikh Hamid Turan said facing many troubles, the holy prophet (PBUH) led mankind out of darkness of ignorance into light and succeeded to accomplish his Divine mission.

He further referred to the characteristics of the holy prophet (PBUH) explaining how kindly he treated his household. Sheikh Turan also talked about the events which took place during the days before the holy prophet's (PBUH) demise.

Eulogies on the occasion were performed as another part of the program .

A mourning ceremony was also held in Istanbul last night, January 31, on the anniversary of Imam Hassan’s (AS) martyrdom.
